Detail:

  • We already had a working relationship with the client as they had renovated their property several years previously and we had supplied some of the structural timbers that needed replacing in house.

The brief:

To build a two bay garage with a log store and also to remake all the doors of the existing outbuildings and do some remedial works to them.

The frame:

The garage frame is entirely green oak to the top wall plate with a softwood ‘cut and pitch’ style roof above. The garage is clad in graded green oak featheredge boarding and fitted with one pair of garage doors.

All of the garage doors are fabricated from selected prime grade air-dried oak and are of a framed ledger and brace construction, they are finished with two coats of teak oil.

*Frame cost as of 2012
